I remember this was the team that got itself into making a pact that whoever comes in late for practice on the day of the presentation will have to eat chilli. Eat as in bite it & savour every fiber of it! Not surprisingly, I came in 5 mins after the call time. I think there were only 3 or 4 of us who ate it. My 2 equally unlucky teammates, either screamed or got red in the face. I on the other hand had a hard time acting as if my tongue has just been bitten by a scorpion and drank kalamansi juice afterwards. I did eat the sili but I didn’t chew on it as what was agreed on. Yes, I cheated. It took me all the effort I could muster to morph my face into that of a disgusted monster. And when I couldn’t cope anymore with my teammates’ honestly helpless faces, I had to go to the CR and wash my face. Perhaps to create the impression that I couldn’t stand the heat that I had to wipe if off with water. That was the craziest thing I had to do! To act as if I just did the craziest thing I could ever do. Although I knew it wasn’t believable, I was able to pull it off. It’s either because of the way I acted (pang-teatro!) or it’s their ignorance of the sensation. At the sight of me putting the sili into my mouth… they never knew of course! I would never let them know… unless of course someone from this team reads this (the only person I know has a blog here and which is linked to mine, is Anne whose recent entry is 2 years ago) or unless isumbong ako ni Pia or ni KatC or ni Miles… or sino pa ba? Hahahah!! Sikret lang pls! They might get back at me and make me do worse things. Well it might have been better if they let me drink a glass full of powdered water (yes, water with Johnson and Johnson’s baby powder) as all of us did with just a sip during our research days. Naku what do you expect andun pa naman si Kakat at Helene na kung anu ano naiisip! That was the craziest thing we could ever think of doing as per our limited resources and scarce tambayan place – we cannot just leave it just like that. Eto kasi yung time na bawal mag-iwan ng gamit sa study hall (dun sa LS bldg – ano na nga tawag dun?). At sigurado pag alis mo, may ooccupy na nung table. Hayun. I miss college days.. wag lang the sili day, hehe =)
