charity adventure
We, [ate and I, together with her friends] had our charity work yesterday Sunday. they stayed up all night from saturday to repack the chocolates, mallows, clothes, canned food, atbp to be given away. I, on the other hand, had a little contribution. I was in charge of printing their logo on the shirts we wore. It was a letter K with their name and alyas beside it. one may wonder what K stood for... well I didn’t plan to put it there cause it isn't pleasant. K, which stands for d'kulangots is the name of their group.
We went first to the national bilibid prison, as in inside maximum security. We even saw Pinky Marquez and Ali Sotto on their way inside. before we entered, the guards warned us that if we bring our valuables, cellphones and wallets inside, we should not expect to be back with them. the relief goods we brought were kept inside the hospital while we were toured. I found out that they also have ICU there. I didn't even know they had a hospital. We visited the patients in their rooms, enduring the piercing stench of urine and sweat. There were just so much pitiful old men who cannot get up from their bed and too many who just stared blankly up the ceiling. The guard told us some of them didn't have visitors anymore for almost 3 years. We also met a prisoner who was supposed to have been freed already, but because no relative went to get him, was still inside lurking the vicinity.
